ArcelorMittal Poland, in partnership with Linde Gaz Polska, is investing over PLN 100 million to construct a hydrogen production facility at its Krakow branch. Set to commence operations by late 2026, the plant will supply hydrogen for galvanizing processes and replace ammonia in annealing operations, enhancing environmental and safety standards. This project aligns with ArcelorMittal’s broader decarbonization and sustainability goals, which have already seen significant investments to modernize the Krakow facility and reduce its reliance on coal and coke.
The plant will use natural gas to produce hydrogen and is expected to significantly contribute to cleaner production methods at the site. Linde Gaz Polska, a leader in hydrogen technology, is leveraging its expertise to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
